Dad Was Born In Stirling, Scotland In 1937 to a Cockney father who was in the Black Watch and a Mother who was a true strong Scottish Woman. They Moved To Bristol While He Was Very Young and he attended Infant School At Petherton Road, Hengrove. He Joined The Army In 1954 when he was 17yrs and was stationed at Chepstow Barricks where he met my mother, they started dating and were married i 1958 In St Briavels. He Worked for Modern Engineering in the early 1960's where his brother worked also. He was involved in a couple of serious accidents while working for the company due to handling very massive steel gurders. My Brother came along in 1965 and followed by me in 1968. He Often Went Water Skiing down at Severn Beach as a Hoby. He Had Worked For BP & Esso Delivering Heating Oil Into the 80's where he then brought a Icecream Van selling Ice Cream at Wells Cathedral and Surrounding Area's On His Round. He decided he wanted to learn to Fly so joined Lulsgate Flying Club and proceeded to get his Private Pilots License. Come the late 80's He started working for TNT Delivering Newspapers Around The Country and was Employed by them for the next several years. He Built His Own Large Extentions on 2 properties that he lived in and could turn his hand to almost anything, even learning to speak German for the trips he would make to Germany with the flying club. He retired in the late 90's and enjoyed day trips out with mum until she passed in 2010. They were married for 52yrs and he didn't feel he wanted to go on without her, so sadly passed away himself in 2012 after having a quadrupal Heart Bypass. I Feel he lived his life to the full, had a strong character and was a good father and is very much missed by many. Hope this gives some insight into the Hard Working But Playful Man That He Was. God Bless Dad. XXXX
